About Aleya

Residing in the lush & abundant landscape of the always-thriving Pacific Northwest, I seek inspiration in all things wild. I am among the many non-native Oregonians who found their way here after a lifetime of searching for home. I am so thankful to have landed here, surrounded by dreamers and art-makers, sensory scenery and so much aliveness.

My style is raw, intimate and playful. Before I found lifestyle photography, I would spend my days engulfed and mesmerized with the micro, often pausing to capture the bits of life we almost never stop to admire. Throughout the years, I have found my multitude of ways of translating that appreciation for the small, sweet bits of beauty found in humanity and wild spaces into the way I photograph. For me, this means putting myself in your shoes with the intention of capturing those tiny moments and places you yourself hold most dear - the imperfectly perfect moments of the in-between. I adore the subtleties of connection. That’s where the magic lives.

I want our time together to be a co-creation. I will guide you and help set the foundation for trust to enter the room, but I will also leave plenty of room for what wants to unfold to unfold. I recognize the vulnerability required in surrendering enough to allow another to be witness to this unfolding, and I honor that role as witness and capturer.
